Experience the artisanal way of growing coffee beans and discover the secrets of Colombia’s finest coffee. This full day tour gives you the opportunity to learn more about the process of making authentic coffee beans while enjoying nature.
Only 45 min away from Medellin we will make our first stop in San Sebastian, in the Cauca valley surrounded by many coffee farms. Enjoy the panoramic views and recharge yourself in this beautiful surroundings.
Upon arrival in Palmitas, a charming little village we will be heading to a local farm to discover more about the process of growing coffee beans. Your guide and local farmer will explain the process of the growing cycle through careful collection and selection of the finest beans. You will have the chance to taste and buy a bag of roasted coffee or two directly from the local farmer. We also make sure a traditional lunch made by local ingredients is ready when you arrive at the coffee plantation. This tour includes a fantastic horse ride around the coffee farm, contemplating the villages, mountains and beautifull landscapes
After a couple of hours at this charming coffee farm we will head back to Medellin. All of our tours are private bilingual tours that include a professional local guide who will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. We also make sure you will have enough free time to buy souvenirs, grab a snack or take breathtaking pictures.
Note: Don’t forget to bring cash with you in case you want to buy coffee beans, goods or beverage that is not included because some shops or local restaurants may not accept credit cards. We also recommend to bring along sunblock and insect repellent.
