Have you already enjoyed this experience?
If you love coffee, you can’t miss a day tour to Jardin visiting one of the most beautiful coffee plantations of Colombia. This coffee tour gives you the opportunity to learn more about the process of making authentic coffee beans and to discover the secrets of Colombia´s finest coffee. We will make our first stop in Jardin, a picturesque colorful village surrounded by mountains. Jardin is the perfect escape from the bustle of Medellin. This Colonial village doesn’t receive mass tourism and is the ideal spot to sit back and enjoy nature.
For the adventurers among us, there is also a change to take the cable car la garrucha made out of wood high above the river valley surrounded by coffee farms!
Coming back to Jardin we will take you by jeep to a local coffee farm to discover more about the lifecycle of coffee beans. This is a perfect opportunity to interact with the local farmers and taste the coffee picked by the farmer himself. You will have the chance to buy a bag of roasted coffee or two directly from the farmer that processed them. We also make sure a traditional lunch made by local ingredients is ready when you arrive at the coffee plantation.
After a couple of hours at this charming coffee farm we will head back to Medellin (approximately 3 hours). All of our tours are private bilingual tours that include a professional local guide who will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. We also make sure you will have enough free time to buy souvenirs, grab a snack or take breathtaking pictures.
Note: Don’t forget to bring cash with you in case you want to buy coffee beans, goods or beverage that is not included because some shops or local restaurants may not accept credit cards. We also recommend to bring along sunblock and insect repellent.
