Have you already enjoyed this experience?
This exclusive full-day tour allows you to experience the artisanal way of growing coffee beans and takes you on a journey to discover the secrets of Colombia’s finest coffee.
You will start this tour by heading to the southwest of Antioquia from Medellin for this delicious experience with the most amazing coffee scenarios. After proximally 3 hours you will arrive in the colonial village Jericó, surrounded by panoramic views of the majestic Andean trail.
You will visit a local coffee plantation to discover more about the process of growing coffee beans. Your guide and local farmer will explain more about the lifecycle of coffee beans and careful selection of the finest beans. You will have the chance to taste and buy a bag of roasted coffee or two directly from the local farmer. We also make sure a traditional lunch made by local ingredients is ready when you arrive at the coffee plantation.
After visiting the coffee farm we will head back to the picturesque village Jericó, explore the colorful streets to purchase your so-called Paisa Carriel, the most traditional element of the Cafetero outfit. We also invite you to get to know more about Mother Laura, awarded “Saint” by the Vatican. Discover why Laura had such an impact in the community
All of our tours are private bilingual tours that include a professional local guide who will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. We also make sure you will have enough free time to buy souvenirs, grab a snack or take breathtaking pictures.
Note: Don’t forget to bring cash with you in case you want to buy coffee beans, goods or beverage that is not included because some shops or local restaurants may not accept credit cards. We also recommend to bring along sunblock and insect repellent.
